The Taco Bell Foundation is awarded $4.5 million, $1.7 million more than last year, to over 370 passionate Team Members through the 2025 Live Más Scholarship. Recipients are joining a community of over 3,000 Live Más Scholars, including alumni, with access to an exclusive scholar-led networking platform, for growing connections and engaging with like-minded scholars. Great Lakes Taco is incredibly proud to announce we had two Live Más Scholarship winners in 2025!
Deanna Callender-Bucceri was our first recipient, and this is her second year in a row winning! She earned a $10,000 scholarship to use while she studies Secondary Education at Oakland University. Deanna has a passion for education and credits the educators she’s had in her life for molding her into the person she is today, and Deanna is looking forward to becoming a pillar in her community who can provide the same type of guidance and supports she received to her future students.
Blake Burry was our second recipient. He earned a $25,000 scholarship that will go towards his educational goal of earning his bachelor’s degree in Construction Management so he can build safe and affordable housing for people in need. Blake would also like to earn his journeyman’s license in residential electrical work. Blake has always loved working with his hands and has construction experience already, spending time in Detroit building HUD homes.
